Colofon

Published by Brill, Leiden

This site is created by Hans Brandhorst and Etienne Posthumus, but they are standing on the shoulders of an army of researchers patiently interpreting sources of cultural history, describing collections of images, transcribing texts and sharing their ideas about digital humanities. The first datasets go back to the early eighties, and new content is being added continuously.
It is impossible to name all the soldiers in the cataloguing army supplying the contents of Arkyves, but we must single out those that have worked with us from the earliest years: Peter van Huisstede, Yassu Frossati-Okayama and Ger Duijfjes-Vellekoop. Ever since we worked at the department of Computer & Letteren of Utrecht University (1990-1999) the group of people we collaborate(d) with has increased to such a size that all we can do is list the institutions - in random order - to which they belong or have belonged.
